第2回の授業では、ポスタープレゼンテーションにおける発表者と観客の関わり方をブットー先生から教わりました。観客を意識したポスターのデザイン、観客からのフィードバックや配布資料などについて学ぶことができました。私が最も重要だと感じたことは、発表内容を文章で書いたものを読むのではなく、小さなメモ用紙を使ってプレゼンテーションを行うことです。もちろん、以前にもこの技術はラーニングクラスターで先生方から教わっていましたが、今回の授業を通して改めてプレゼンテーションにおけるその重要性を確認することができました。授業の最後には、創立者が発表された第44回「SGIの日」記念提言についてまとめた内容を1人1分ずつプレゼンテーションを行い、発表でよく使われるフレーズや表現などについても学ぶことができました。
　

At first, Mr. Butto taught us how to engage the audience during a poster presentation through poster design, handouts, participant feedback, and so on. Then, Ms. Tan led us to think deeply about what makes a good presentation. The most important technique I felt was to use a small piece of paper in our hand as a prompt instead of using a script. Of course, LC teachers have told us this technique before, but I realized again how important it is to do this during a presentation. At the end, we took turns to do a 1-min presentation about each section of the SGI Peace Proposal. By doing this, we were able to learn what phrases are commonly used in a presentation, including greetings like “Hello, everyone” or closing a presentation with “thank you for your attention.”
